This fabulous versatile French pantograph wall light can be adjusted to different angles by using the lever at the wall bracket. 
The shade tilts, however so can the scissor style arm. By loosening the lever the arm can be positioned to point the lamp upwards, downwards or straight ahead. 
It also has the most amazing reach for a work lamp stretching from a minimum of 34cm to a maximum of 92cm
A fantastic lamp for over a desk, or in the kitchen over the table or the worktop, alternatively as a bedside lamp to read by. 
It has a some chips and wear to the paintwork, as would be expected for its great age, however nothing significant. 
It has been rewired and PAT tested.
