A glorious glazed porcelain rubber glove making mould. 
These were used to make rubber gloves, by dipping the mould into a rubber solution and leaving to dry. The rubber was then rolled off the mould and et voila. . . it was a rubber glove. The machines these things were attached to can be seen in the photos. See the photo of them in action. 
Now these are fabulously decorative pieces and look great with jewellery adoring them. Certainly far too decorative to smash and send to landfill.
