This absolutely stunning panel is hand painted on silk and mounted on a wooden frame.
The artist (Henri Tayan) was a well-known French interiors artist in Paris in the late 1800s.
He famously painted the interior of The Cafรฉ de Paris amongst many other Paris buildings and hotels.
The panel is signed by the artist and is a unique and rare piece. It was possibly once part of a bigger screen.
This glorious panel would look stunning stood on top of a chest of drawers or dresser or alternatively hung on the wall, or just prop it against the wall next to a favourite chair.
It does have some areas of damage which considering its great age and the material it is constructed of, this is to be expected.
Measurements: 62.5 x 128cm high.
