This box makes my heart race! For so many reasons. . . 
It is an antique French chocolate box, so there’s the first reason! 
Imagine getting chocolates given to you in a box like this under lock and key ! 
Then, the wear of the silk on the outside, how it’s gone all ragged really makes my heart sing. It’s such a beautiful worn patina. 
Turn the key and open it up, and the inside is still so beautiful because it spent all these years closed and almost untouched, possibly holding somebody’s special treasures or love letters or the like, but it hasn’t seen a great deal of the light of day. The trim on the outside would originally have been as deep a blue (it’s evident in places), as the trim inside the box. 
The lock, unusually still works and even more unusual that it has its keys.
