I truly unusual and rare Japanese antique.
This very unusual padlock would have been used for a set of doors or gates. The bar comes completely out of the lock, still in working order with its original key, then would’ve passed through the hasps on the gates or doors and the lock would’ve been put, back on to secure the entrance.
A great decorative piece or addition to a collection, or as the talking piece on the coffee table.
