A rare and unusual example of the Colman’s delivery crate.
 
Unusual in that it has a lid, which still has the remnants of the original paper label, also unusual that it has, at some point long ago been lined with wallpaper to use as a storage box and some of this also remains inside the crate.
 
The typography is still very good and although the hinges have been replaced over its lifetime the lid still works.
 
A lovely storage box with lots of character, showing its past life, which makes it a real conversation piece.
